Alan Whiteley-
Musical Director of Clowns International: |
Alan Whiteley (Professor Forte) is a
classically trained music graduate who was for over 20 years
Head of the Music Department of New Heys Comprehensive School, Liverpool.
He is now a free-lance musician working as organ recitalist,
choir trainer and conductor.
He has been Chorus Master to the Tenerife Opera Festival and
is currently Organist and Choirmaster to Birkdale United Reformed Church, Southport,
where he has charge of two choirs, the church choir and the larger Cantata Choir
which performs oratorio.
He first worked with Arthur Pedlar (Clown Vercoe) at his Aunt’s 100th birthday party.
He has now been Vercoe’s Accompanist/Accomplice for the last eight years,
performing in many countries. He is official Musical Director of Clowns International.
