The British band Gomez is a five-piece, consisting of Ben Ottewell
(vocals, guitar), Tom Gray (vocals, guitar,
keyboards), Paul Blackburn (bass, guitar), Olly Peacock (drums),
and Ian Ball (vocals, guitar, harmonica). Whereas the majority of up-and-coming
British bands are either retro-pop (à la Oasis), trip-hop (Portishead), or
space rock (the Verve, Radiohead),
Gomez is one of the few to contain bluesy elements in their rock.
Their
are praised in the rock press on both sides of the Atlantic.
They also received the distinguished Mercury Music Prize for 1998 Album of the Year

The Mop Top Beatles
The Mop Top Beatles comprise of four talented individuals, who have been professional musicians for numerous years. Below is an outline of each member, showing what character they impersonate and what they have done in the past:
David McCalden: (John Lennon)David has been a rhythm guitarist since first being given a guitar at nine years old.
An avid Beatle fan since he was an embryo, Dave is developing into one of the UK‘s leading Lennon impersonators. His cheeky banter never fails to amuse the audience, and really brings the humor of Lennon He is also a song writer, and recorded several solo projects in the past.
George Pool: (Paul McCartney)George is not only a fantastic “Macca” impersonator, but also a brilliant musician. Playing not only bass guitar, but also rhythm/lead guitar and piano with great effect. His rendition of “The long and winding road” is truly mesmerizing. George has also enjoyed success with his solo projects, touring Europe and Canada. His love of all things “Beatle” led him to join The Mop Top’s.
Robert Davies: (George Harrison)Rob has been a professional musician for many years, featuring as a lead guitarist and song writer for the signed rockabilly band “Katsquire”, touring Europe. Rob is also an huge Beatle fan, and impersonates George Harrison like no other! Rob continues to write music for recording artists, as well as his solo projects.
Richard Haines: (Ringo Starr)Richie is a highly sought after drummer, and provides The Mop Top’s with a solid backbeat, with which he pushes the band along with great effect. Richie has played drums for a good number of years with great musicians, and always shines.
Show One
This is a one hour show, that is what we call the “party set”. This includes all the songs that where the most famous for The Beatles (mostly the number one songs).
Show Two:
This is the 2 x 45minute sets. This features two costume changes, and allows more time for the show to develop and include more of the album tracks as well as singles. This also allows for more of the famous “Beatle banter” that adds to the
whole good feeling in the show, and makes it a more intimate feeling with the audience. This is by far the most popular for party environments accompanied by a disco (can be supplied by us, if requested)
Show Three:
This is the full two hour show, split into two one hour shows. If you want a full blown Beatle evening, this is the one for you. Spanning the whole Beatle era, from “The Cavern Club” right through to their last performance on the rooftop at “Apple”. This features four costume changes (Waistcoats, Black suits, Sgt Pepper costumes and finally the rooftop look). This is guaranteed to thrill any audience!
Think Floyd
This extraordinary band, renowned for their stunning celebration of the music of Pink Floyd present a ‘must-see’ evening for all Pink Floyd fans featuring all the usual exhilarating lighting effects.

Devils River
Devils River are a talented trio of musicians playing tight, upbeat, rock, rhythm and blues, playing superb renditions of songs by the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Freddie King, Buddy Guy and Stevie Ray Vaughan.
The raw energy and passion of blues music is something that is loved worldwide and in days where the commercial mainstream is increasingly full of stylised music that seems to be more about fashion than passion many people find solace in this timeless music that is gritty, exiting, often danceable and packed with energy and emotion.
The band are exhilarating live, and audiences can feel the passion for the music as the trio give their all to each note and beat.
Devils River have had radio airplay on BBC radio Merseyside, their local station Dune FM, The Double Trouble radio show on Osnabruecker Radio, Germany, and BeauBFM, Limoges, France.
They have an original CD for sale from amazon.co.uk, cdbaby.com, and from HMV.co.uk (available to order from any HMV outlet), in its first week of release it outsold Robbie Williams, Madonna and Depeche Mode in the local HMV store in Southport.
Two's Company perform live wedding music, function music, concerts and wedding ceremony music.
They offer instrumental violin & guitar pieces and vocal songs - ideal wedding reception music
but also suitable as live function music at events such as corporate or family parties.
There versitility enables them to play in a wide variety of musical styles:
Pop, Classical, Jazz and Folk.
Two's Company are Amy Lammin and Rob Chalmers.
They can provide a backing band of drums and bass guitar for dancing and more lively occasions
and have also performed concerts with an additional violin, cello and viola.
Based on the Wirral,
They travel across Merseyside, Cheshire, North Wales, Liverpool and Manchester.
The Groovy Wonderband
The Groovy Wonderband is a ten-piece party funk band playing disco hits,
pop and classic disco soul floor fillers. Ideal for weddings, corporate and commercial bookings, providing superb entertainment at any event. Perfect for livening up any party, the Merseyside based group will travel across the North West.
The young guns
The Young guns are a professional, highly polished outfit based in
Leicester. They have been performing since 1995, entertaining audiences
around the world and throughout the U.K, playing major hits from the 70`s 80`s
and the 90`s.
The Young Guns started life as a Wham Tribute band, and as supported famous
acts such as The Lightening seeds, Ocean Colour Scene, Bjorn again,Uncle peter
from Reeves and Mortimer fame, and Radio 1`s Mark Goodier and also supported
60`s legends Dozy, Beaky, Mick, and Titch on a seven week season. They
have more recently worked with Victoria Wood and performed for Johnny Vegas, Una
Stubbs, and Sir Derek Jacobi.
The band offer a lively seventies speciality package,and a classic eighties
revival set. The package has been brought right up to date with nineties
pop. This provides excellent entertainment for any occasion. With
attention to detail, combined with first class musicianship, The Young Guns have
earned the reputation of being one of a few bands around to accuratley recreate
the dynamic sounds of these eras.
The Young Guns specialise in Corporate Events, Wedding Receptions, Hotel
Events, Private functions, Parties, Universities and more.
Although this band are based in Leicester, they will negotiate UK wide
opportunities.
